About Amberley Allotments...

As the world around us changes at a ferocious speed and still in some ways it remains the same, there is a feeling that to proceed we have to go back to some of the old values and skills.

A prime example of this is to grow your own vegetable and fruit. With this in mind Brian & Sue Ludgate set up some allotments in the Spring of 2010. They already run a successful landscaping business known as Ludgate Lanscapes.

The idea behind setting up Amberley Allotments was, besides growing your own, to create a community where people exchange seeds, plants and advice and a have a bit of craic!

At the end of the first year this had worked so well that it was decided to set up some more allotments as there was already a waiting list. Peter Dowdall of Dunsland Garden Centre has been the main advisor to this project and is available always for advice and help.

The allotments are situated close to Rochestown College and have magnificent views and are equi distance between Carrigaline, Monkstown and Douglas.
